Nursing Services

The practice nurses may be seen by appointment. They run clinics for patients with asthma, diabetes, heart disease, chronic lung disease, childhood immunisations, smoking cessation and follow-up clinics for patients on HRT or contraception.

They perform cervical cytology and swabs, ear syringing and wound/ulcer dressings. If you think that your problem could be dealt with by the nurse, please ask the receptionist to make an appointment.

Minor Injuries

We offer a minor injuries service, please contact reception or call into the surgery if you require this service.

Contraception

A full range of contraceptive services are available, including coil fittings, oral contraceptive pill and implants. Emergency contraceptive services are also available. 

Pre-Conceptual Counselling

Information packs are available in the waiting room. Please make an appointment to see your Doctor if you wish to discuss further.

Maternity Care

The Doctors and Midwives share ante-natal care. Post-natal appointments and 6 week baby checks are made with the doctor. Baby changing and feeding facilities are available in the surgery.

Childhood Immunisations

Immunisations are available in the surgery. Information is available from the Health Visitor and Practice Nurse.

Adult Immunisations

We offer vaccinations for travel, occupational need, flu and pneumonia (following Department of Health guidelines).

Minor Surgery

We carry out a range of minor surgery procedures, after initial consultation with your doctor.

Age Concern Nail Cutting service

From January 2011 we will be offering a non-medical, simple footcare service for older people who have difficulty cutting their own nails. Please contact 01872 266388 for more details or ask at reception

Test Results

Please call between 11am and 3.30pm to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request between these times.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.
